He spent several years as a writer and editor for two news services before becoming the editor of a legal publication and managing editor of a trade magazine that covered the commercial facilities market.
Liz Parker is the Senior Editor of Candy Industry and Snack Food & Wholesale Bakery and the former Managing Editor of Food Safety Magazine. She has written for CBS Detroit, as well as for her own blogs. She earned a B.A. degree in Creative Writing from the University of Michigan.
Douglas J. Peckenpaugh is Group Editorial Director of Snack, Bakery, Cannabis, Meat, and Candy for BNP Media. He has over two decades of publishing experience following the food industry from farm to fork, covering agriculture, ingredient processing, CPG and foodservice R&D, retail and restaurant menu trends, and retail grocery branding. Debra Schug was Editor-in-Chief of Food Engineering. She began her media career over a decade ago writing and producing broadcast news for both television and radio at the local and national level. She spent many years as the managing editor for two trade magazines in the oil industry and the research editor for an annual petroleum report. She has a master’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Iowa State University.
Rose Shilling helps ensure Food Engineering Magazine is ready to print each month as managing editor. She writes feature stories on a variety of topics and tracks the food packaging industry. A journalist with an editing background at news services and newspapers, she also has driven editorial projects in health care and higher education.
