Over the past five years, has dedicated himself to empowering food safety professionals to lead impactful and fulfilling careers. Dr. Soares is the founder of the globally recognized "I'm a SLO (Saving Lives Officer)" movement and author of the book, I'm a SLO—The Mindset and Framework to Develop a Positive Food Safety Culture. At present, he is turning his attention to rewriting the role of food safety professionals in the narrative of food safety. He sees food safety as not just a profession, but as a calling.
