WHO Chooses Korea for World’s First INFOSAN Collaboration Center

The Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has been chosen as the world’s first Collaboration Center for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)/World Health Organization (WHO) International Food Safety Authorities Network (INFOSAN).
The Collaboration Center will provide INFOSAN member countries with education and training in food safety emergency response, technical support such as the development of food security and economic resistance plans, and facilitation of international and regional meetings to enhance coordination.
The ministry held an unveiling ceremony on November 27, 2025, following the designation on November 6. According to Korea.net, Korea was chosen in recognition of its leadership in cooperative responses to food safety emergencies and its support of INFOSAN over the last decade.
