PROBAR LLC of Salt Lake City, UT has initiated a voluntary recall of select flavors and lots of Meal bars, including Chocolate Coconut, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Original Trail Mix, Wholeberry Blast and Superfood Slam, due to the possible presence of undeclared milk and soy allergens.

Sanitation with produce doesn’t just stop once the plants have been harvested. There is a procedure that ideally must be followed, before the plants arrive in the hands of the consumer.

Fairmont Foods, Inc., a Fairmont, Minn. establishment, is recalling approximately 35,145 pounds of ready-to-eat pork and beef gravy products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically clear pliable plastic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), along with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and state and local partners, are investigating a multistate outbreak of Salmonella Uganda illnesses likely linked to whole, fresh papayas. 

In relation to the Growers Express recall of select fresh vegetables, Trader Joe's has been alerted by our supplier of the following fresh Zucchini Spirals and Butternut Squash Spirals, sold only in the identified locations, that product with the specified date codes may have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
