Motion Industries Inc. has released the Motion Learning and Development Center’s (LDC’s) 2026 class schedule. The training opportunities provided by LDC are designed to empower industry professionals across North America.

From hands-on technical training to professional development and Microsoft Office courses, Motion’s program offers flexible learning options in-person at Motion Learning Centers across the U.S. and at partner locations, as well as virtually. The course lineup helps participants enhance their skills and advance their careers through convenient, expert-led instruction.

Open-enrollment classes provide instructor-led, hands-on learning experiences conducted by professional subject matter experts at convenient locations across the U.S.

Motion’s LDC in Birmingham, Alabama, offers a 20,000 square-foot (sq. ft.) setting for classrooms, labs, and overall essentials for talent retention and career growth. Many courses also offer a virtual attendance option to accommodate varied learning preferences.

The 2026 schedule features three core types of courses:

  • Technical Courses: Includes hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, bearings and power transmission, computer numerical control (CNC) programming, process pumps, arc flash safety, programmable logic, controllers (PLCs), reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and other areas
  • Professional Development: Includes improving leadership skills, communication, time management, conflict resolution, effective teamwork, and other skills
  • Microsoft Courses: Includes Outlook Essentials; One Note; tiered levels of Excel, PowerPoint and Word; and other offerings.

To support customers, hands-on training is also available in various cities across the U.S. and at in-plant customer locations in North America.

Registration is now open for all 2026 offerings. Interested parties can register online or by calling 205-951-5000. A printable PDF of the 2026 schedule can be downloaded here.

The program has continuously evolved since its beginnings in 1988 as The Motion Institute. In the last year alone, the Motion LDC has upskilled more than 20,000 live attendees through 435 classes. In addition, 300,000 online trainings were completed by employees in 2024. The LDC site also offers training assessments, on-site training, custom lab equipment, and mother resources.
