The U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced the availability of and is requesting comments on a draft compliance guide for U.S. importers and brokers on the electronic filing of import inspection applications for certain meat, poultry, and egg products.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recently received inquiries about the labeling of foods with ingredients derived from genetically engineered plants, but has not yet made a decision regarding the petitions.
