Amity Packing Company Inc., a Chicago, Ill. establishment, is recalling approximately 2,020 pounds of raw ground beef products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically clear, thin pliable plastic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

Savannah Food Company, Inc. takes issues of food safety seriously and in an abundance of caution is voluntarily recalling certain formulations of Cornbread Dressing and Bread Stuffing that included frozen diced eggs supplied to our company by Almark Foods of Gainesville, GA.

Quesos La Ricura LTD. of Hicksville, NY, is recalling 12 oz. packages of Cotija Cheese (Queso Cotija) because it may be contaminated with Shiga toxin producing E. coli bacteria (Shiga toxin producing E. coli).

This outbreak appears to be over. The last reported illness for this outbreak was on November 24, 2019.

Golden Pearl Trading Corporation (doing business as Dandy Food Products), a San Lorenzo, Calif. establishment, is recalling approximately 12,054 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) imported Siluriformes products that were not presented for import re-inspection into the United States, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced.

Lipari Foods is expanding its January 6, 2020 and January 13, 2020 recalls of Premo and Fresh Grab sandwiches to include all sandwiches with a Best By date of 2/6/20 and prior, due to potential contamination of Listeria monocytogenes. 

Five Star Food Inc, Garden City, MI is recalling 100 cases of Excellent tahina 800 g and 100 cases of excellent tahina 400 g containers because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

As of September 30, 2019, the FDA has tested 339 domestic samples and 473 import samples of frozen berries.
