Alliance for Advanced Sanitation Launches Survey to Address Gaps in Innovation and Workforce Development

The Alliance for Advanced Sanitation has announced the launch of an industry-wide survey. The initiative seeks to capture the current state of innovation, manufacturing, and workforce needs across the global food supply chain.
The Context: Why Your Voice Matters Now
The food industry is no longer just about production; it is about resilience. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), global food systems face unprecedented pressure from climate volatility and supply chain disruptions, necessitating a rapid shift toward "circular" and tech-enabled manufacturing processes. Furthermore, the World Health Organization (WHO) emphasizes that as food production becomes more complex, the risk of emerging foodborne pathogens increases, making advanced sanitation and regulatory compliance more critical than ever.
"We are all curious to learn what others in the food industry are experiencing," said a representative of the Alliance. "The data we collect will help translate research into action, ensuring that educational and technological resources are directed where they are needed most; whether that is on the manufacturing floor, in the warehouse, or within the marketing suite."
