Bio-Rad Laboratories has announced the launch of its EZ-Check Salmonella Kit—a rapid, polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based solution for the qualitative detection of Salmonella in a wide range of food and environmental matrices.

The kit has received validation from AOAC International under the Performance Tested Methods program and NF VALIDATION certification from AFNOR Certification.

Designed for operational efficiency, the EZ-Check Salmonella Kit features a ready-to-use format with multiplex amplification of the target pathogen and an internal control to mitigate false negatives. Its duplex detection system enhances result accuracy while simplifying assay setup, supporting streamlined workflows in food safety laboratories.

Validation studies confirmed the kit’s robustness, consistency, stability, inclusivity, and exclusivity across multiple matrices. Additionally, Bio-Rad’s iQ-Check Free DNA Removal Solution was validated as part of the complete workflow, ensuring compatibility and performance across all tested sample types.
