Nothum Opens Solutions Studio for Processing Equipment Testing, Product Development

Nothum Food Processing Systems has opened a Solutions Studio designed to help food manufacturers evaluate processing technologies, test product formulations, and validate production performance before investing in equipment.
The facility supports product development, equipment testing, technical training, and process optimization for manufacturers producing coated food products across poultry, seafood, beef, vegetables, alternative proteins, and other categories. Customers can conduct production trials using complete processing lines configured to match their manufacturing requirements. The modular processing line can be configured for pre-dusting, battering, breading, double-pass coating, and frying applications. Additionally, the facility is equipped with monitoring systems that capture process data during production trials, including product temperatures, coating pickup measurements, and other processing metrics intended to help manufacturers evaluate product quality and production efficiency.
Technical and sales staff assist customers in defining trial objectives, optimizing equipment settings, analyzing production challenges, and documenting processing results. Nothum also provides logistical support for international customers, including sourcing ingredients locally when importing raw materials is impractical.
The Solutions Studio features Nothum's processing technologies, including the SuperFlex homestyle breading machine, BatterPro batter and tempura system, ProTherm continuous fryer, AcuFeeder breading feeder, and EzFlow frying oil filtration system.
In addition to the processing area, the facility includes a commercial kitchen for product preparation and evaluation, as well as training space for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and operator education.
The Solutions Studio is located within Nothum's 90,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Springfield, Missouri, where approximately two-thirds of the building is dedicated to equipment design, fabrication, and assembly. Visitors can also tour the manufacturing operation during facility visits.
