CPS Offering Webinars to Explore Produce Safety Research

The Center for Produce Safety (CPS) is offering a new webinar series that provides a deeper exploration of final report presentations selected by attendees of the 2025 CPS Research Symposium.
The series will highlight a range of critical food safety topics, including:
- Controlling Listeria monocytogenes on avocados: Taking place Tuesday, September 9 at 9:00 A.M. PT, presented by Carmen Hernández Brenes, Ph.D., of Tecnologico de Monterrey
- Applying metagenomics approaches to food safety: Taking place Wednesday, September 10 at 9:00 A.M. PT, presented by Laura Strawn, Ph.D. of Virginia Tech
- Advancing quantitative microbial risk assessment (QMRA) in preharvest agricultural water: Taking place Tuesday, September 30 at 9:00 A.M. PT, presented by Channah Rock, Ph.D. of the University of Arizona
- Understanding environmental pathogens in controlled environment agriculture: Taking place Monday, October 6, presented by Ana Allendale, Ph.D. of CEBAS-CSIC.
