GHSE, LLC, a Green Cove Springs, Florida establishment, is recalling approximately 738 pounds of ready-to-eat salad with meat products that contain a corn ingredient that may be contaminated with Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced.
Johnston County Hams is recalling about 90,000 pounds of ready-to-eat ham products that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, linked by government officials to one death.

The American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI), Arlington, Va., announced a new collaboration with Mérieux NutriSciences, Chicago, to develop a food safety program that measures the implementation of AFFI’s best food safety practices for environmental monitoring.
No illness have been reported, but a sampling program by Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) revealed that the Broccoli Microgreen contained the bacteria.
Greenbelt Greenhouse LTD of British Columbia, Canada is recalling all Greenbelt Microgreen products because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), an estimated 1,600 Americans get listeriosis each year, and about 260 of them die. The infection typically is caused by eating food contaminated with the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes.
A New York raw milk cheese company, whose products were linked to a multi-state outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes (L. mono), has been ordered by a federal court not to manufacture its ready-to-eat aged soft, semi-soft and hard cheeses until it complies with food safety regulations.
