Westminster, Md.-based Hahn Brothers, Inc. has recalled more than 115,000 pounds of ready-to-eat ham products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen.

The products contain malted barley, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label. The problem was discovered when a consumer complaint noted that malted barley is listed as an ingredient on the company’s website, but not on the product label. There have been no reports of illness or adverse reactions due to consumption of the product.

The products were produced from Dec. 17, 2017 to July 27, 2017. The product subject to recall is 1.75-lb. of vacuum-packed mini ham packages containing “Lou's Garrett Valley Natural, All Natural black forest seasoned uncured ham nugget, FULLY COOKED WOOD SMOKED” with a case code 74045.

Consumers with questions about the recall can contact Barry Blevins, Vice President of Operations, at 443-375-7762.
