Eagle Product Inspection to Highlight Innovation, Know-how and Performance at PACK EXPO International 2018

August 22, 2018

At the upcoming PACK EXPO International 2018 in Chicago, Oct. 14-17, see Eagle Product Inspection’s innovation, know-how and performance at work in a range of advanced inspection systems on exhibit in Booth S-1721 at McCormick Place.

More than 45,000 visitors are expected at PACK EXPO International 2018, who will get a chance to talk to Eagle’s thought leaders and learn about the company’s latest inspection systems and technologies. At the event, Eagle will introduce the innovative EPX100, a next-generation x-ray system for packaged foods, beverages and other consumer goods.

“The EPX100 is safe, simple to use and smart, and is the perfect entry point for small to mid-sized manufacturers, as well as contract packagers, seasonal operators and large companies looking to standardize their equipment,” says Kyle Thomas, strategic business unit manager for Eagle Product Inspection. The EPX100 is well suited for a variety of industries, including bakery, snack, confectionery, ready meal, general food and personal care.

Also on display is the Eagle Tall PRO XS, suitable for the inspection of high-speed can, jar, bottle and composite lines, as well as other upright packaging formats. Side view detection provides 100% inspection for hard to find contaminants such as metal, stone, glass, dense plastics and calcified bone. Eagle’s experts will conduct live demonstrations of the Tall PRO XS throughout the show, using cans or tall containers.

Attendees in the meat and poultry industry can see firsthand the multi-application benefits of the Eagle FA3/M x-ray system. This machine conducts in-line fat measurement as well as contaminant detection in fresh, chilled and frozen products, using Eagle’s latest-generation refinement of Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) measurement technology to discriminate between fat and lean portions.

“We’re looking forward to showcasing our latest technologies, and sharing our expertise with attendees to help them deliver superior contaminant detection for the widest range of applications. While these solutions help ensure safety, quality and compliance, the advanced inspection systems are also easy to use and provide important detailed information for packaged goods manufacturers,” says Thomas.

Thomas is one of the company’s thought leaders featured in a new “Eagle Speaks” Docu-series consisting of videos, blogs, e-books, white papers and other resources designed to help manufacturers ensure product safety by streamlining x-ray inspection on their line.
