Almonds recalled due to undeclared wheat and soy

Kanan Enterprises has announced a voluntary recall of almonds sold at ALDI stores due to the potential for undeclared wheat and soy.

The problem was discovered by a customer who found that wasabi almonds were packaged in a bag of Southern Grove Unsalted Almonds. The product affected by the recalls is 14-ounce stand up bags of Southern Grove Unsalted Almonds with a UPC of 0 41498 24647 1 and a date code of Best By SEP 25 2018 KN.

The almonds were distributed to ALDI stores in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. No adverse reactions have been reported to date.

Consumers should return the product to their local ALDI store for a full refund. Consumers with questions can call 1-800-860-5464, from 8:15 a.m. – 5 p.m. EST, Monday – Friday
