Sensitech Launches Real-Time Monitoring Solution for Multimodal Food Shipments

Sensitech has launched TempTale GEO APX Global, a real-time location and condition monitoring solution intended to provide food shippers with continuous visibility across ocean, road, and rail journeys from origin to final destination.
Global food shipments can cross multiple transportation modes, borders, and cellular networks, creating potential visibility gaps that may make it difficult for shippers to identify temperature excursions before product quality is affected.
TempTale GEO APX Global monitors temperature, humidity, light, and location and automatically transmits data to the SensiWatch Platform without requiring manual downloads. The device uses 4G LTE cellular connectivity with global coverage.
Through the SensiWatch Platform, shippers can receive departure, arrival, and exception alerts and access a map-based view of shipment location and condition.
Monitoring Options for Ambient, Fresh, and Frozen Foods
According to Sensitech, TempTale GEO APX Global supports ambient, fresh, and frozen products across a range of cold chain applications. The device is available in configurations designed for shorter and longer global routes.
The standard version supports refrigerated shipments lasting up to 60 days, while an extended version supports frozen and long-duration shipments lasting up to 120 days.
Both configurations offer an external probe option for applications requiring direct measurement of core product temperature, such as bulk frozen loads or produce transported in insulated packaging.
