WITT Gas has introduced its latest generation of MEM+ gas mixers, designed for precise and reliable mixing of non-flammable gases in thermal processing environments. The MEM+ series now features enhanced connectivity options and advanced control capabilities to optimize process efficiency and maintain safety standards.

Advanced Connectivity and Integration

MEM+ mixers offer seven interface options for seamless integration into existing systems. Standard interfaces include Analog 4–20 milliamperes (mA), Ethernet, CanBus, and OPC UA, while optional connections such as Profinet, RS232, and Analog 0–10 volts (V) provide flexibility for diverse operational requirements. Remote operation via PC, PLC, or machine controller enables convenient parameter adjustments and documentation. On-device control is supported through a touchscreen interface with optimized menu navigation for quick selection of predefined mixtures.

Precise Gas Mixing Performance

Designed for two- or three-gas mixtures—such as nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and oxygen—the MEM+ series uses electronically operated, motorized proportional valves to achieve mixture adjustments in 0.1 percent increments. The system delivers rapid response times, typically achieving the desired mixture in under three seconds, with an accuracy of ±1 percent absolute across the full proportioning range of 0–100 percent.

Safety and Stability Features

To maintain accuracy and long-term stability, MEM+ mixers incorporate pressure equalization to compensate for supply fluctuations. Continuous monitoring of inlet pressures, combined with low-pressure alarms and a potential-free contact for emergency shutdown, enhances operational safety. An integrated buffer tank ensures smooth handling of fluctuating flow rates, and the system can be paired with a gas analyzer for continuous monitoring and documentation of mixture generation.

Durable Design for Industrial Use

The MEM+ series includes multiple models with varying mixed gas outputs to meet application-specific requirements. With a maximum inlet pressure of 20 bar and outlet pressure of 10 bar, the mixers can generate two-gas mixtures even when configured for three gases. Housed in splash-proof, brushed stainless-steel enclosures, the units are built for durability in demanding industrial environments.
