Tel-Tru Temperature Solutions has introduced its Check-Set Thermometer Calibrator Data Logger and Check-Set Thermometer Calibrator designed for the food and beverage industries.

Check-Set delivers lab-grade temperature calibration accuracy to ±0.2 ºF (0.1 ºC) without traditional boiling water and ice bath methods, offering a faster and more reliable solution for food safety and quality teams. “Smart” features of Check-Set include:

  • 2.8-inch (in.) touchscreen with intuitive interface
  • Keyboard, mouse, and barcode scanner compatibility
  • Portable design with unique serial number
  • Three-hole removable well with recalibration feature
  • Compatibility with most thermometer brands and stem sizes
  • Software updates included with Tel-Tru recertification service
  • Custom temperature setpoints.

Additionally, the Check-Set Data Logger eliminates manual recordkeeping vulnerabilities by providing secure, traceable digital records, including:

  • Time-stamped entries
  • Operator profiles and permissions
  • Custom setpoints
  • Manager-adjustable audit trails
  • National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)-traceable Certificate of Calibration.

With automatic calibration reminders, manager lockout on expired certificates, and data export in .CSV format, the Check-Set Data Logger ensures that every calibration is documented, defensible, and compliant with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements.

Finally, the Check-Set Calibrator offers a cost-effective, portable solution for verifying thermometer accuracy quickly, eliminating calibration inconsistencies across facilities. Tel-Tru also offers an annual factory recertification service to maintain NIST-traceable accuracy and ensure long-term performance.

Check-Set units are compatible with thermometer stems as short as 3.5 in. and diameters of 0.125 in., 0.150 in., and 0.187 in.
