Cannabis Products launches website, 2020 trade show

The marketplace for legal cannabis edibles and beverages is seeing significant growth, and those numbers will go stratospheric once FDA addresses the issue of adding cannabidiol (CBD) into food and beverage formulations. The 2018 Farm Bill gave the green light to growing industrial hemp across the U.S., opening the floodgates to CBD. Once FDA is on board, market activity will hit a fever pitch. Current projections have the CBD market hitting a value of $5.7 billion this year and $22 billion by 2022. These are exciting times in cannabis product development and processing, and our staff here at Cannabis Products—the first and only industry publication dedicated to the commercial market for edibles and beverages—is excited to help lead the charge.

To continue to better serve the market for legal cannabis edibles and beverages, Cannabis Products is expanding its market presence. Very soon, www.cannabisproductsmagazine.com will launch to serve as our online home. While the website will house all of the content that makes it into our print editions, we will do so much more online, including breaking news specific to the edibles and beverages portion of this rapidly growing industry, and new cannabis foods and beverages hitting the market via dispensaries and—soon, for CBD—traditional retail outlets like grocery and convenience stores. We’ll also include easy navigation to the industry’s top edibles and beverages categories, including everything from supply-chain details to food safety, equipment choices and more in one location for deep dives into the categories that mean the most for your business. And for newcomers to the market—or even those just still just thinking about an expansion into cannabis CPG development—we’ll have a section on “Entering the Market” to help get you up to speed. This is an exciting step for us in our growth, so stop by the website soon and let us know how we’re doing.

Our other big announcement is the launch of a dedicated live conference and trade show for Cannabis Products. In April 2020, we will debut our first industry show in Denver, featuring an educational track specifically geared toward research, development and production of legal cannabis edibles and beverages, from ingredients and equipment to regulatory and QA/QC. We will also have a trade show component so attendees can review the latest ingredients, packaging, equipment and technology, networking and making the right supply-chain connections to help ensure success. For companies looking to enter this revolutionary market, we’ll have the answers needed to get the ball rolling in the right direction from the start. We will have complete details on this exciting development in the coming months.
