Vitamin Cottage Natural Food Markets, Inc., a Lakewood, Colorado-based natural grocery chain, is recalling Natural Grocers brand 8 ounce Peanut Clusters Dark Chocolate Non-GMO because the product contains undeclared almond and milk allergens. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to almonds or milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. Consumers who may have purchased this product are advised to discontinue use and either throw it away or return it to the store for credit or refund.

The recalled product is packaged in clear plastic bags weighing 8 ounces and bearing the “Natural Grocers” label. Pack dates between 19-190 and 20-048 being recalled at this time.

There have been no reports of illness or injury to date, but Natural Grocers is acting out of an abundance of caution to notify consumers and recall any of the affected product in the marketplace.

The product was distributed to 157 Natural Grocers stores located in Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
