Tetra Pak, Axis Introduce Video Monitoring System for Ice Cream Production

Tetra Pak, in collaboration with Axis Communications, has introduced Ice Cream Video Care, a camera-based monitoring system designed to provide ice cream manufacturers with real-time visibility across production lines.
According to the companies, the system uses network cameras as sensors to monitor production processes, enabling operators to remotely inspect equipment and production areas that may be difficult or unsafe to access during operation.
The solution is based on Axis Communications' IP camera technology, including Q-line dome and F-series modular cameras, which the companies said are designed to operate in low-temperature and harsh production environments. Up to 16 cameras can be installed along a production line and managed through AXIS Camera Station software for remote monitoring.
Tetra Pak said the system is intended to help manufacturers improve process oversight, operational efficiency, and product quality by providing continuous, high-resolution visibility throughout production.
Ice Cream Video Care is the latest development in a six-year collaboration between Tetra Pak and Axis Communications on camera-based process monitoring. The partnership began with monitoring applications for juice filling operations and has since expanded into additional food manufacturing processes.
