NCCO Introduces Handheld Food Product Labeling Device

March 3, 2026

NCCO International’s new DateCodeGenie is an all-in-one handheld solution that can be used to add allergens, ingredients, pricing, expiration dates, barcodes, and QR codes—all managed from the centralized online portal—to food products across diverse foodservice operations, from multi-site enterprises to independent cafés.

Extending the original DateCodeGenie beyond the kitchen, DateCodeGenie Mini can standardize labeling and compliance across multiple sites with centralized templates and reporting. While staff have a portable, easy-to-use tool, managers gain full visibility and control to reduce risk, save time, and drive efficiency at scale.

Fully compatible with NCCO’s DateCodeGenie product family, the DateCodeGenie Mini can also execute food safety functions beyond labeling. With a separate subscription to NCCO’s Task Manager tool, teams can manage digital Hazards Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) checklists, complete daily compliance tasks, and update critical documents.

Cable-free, compact, and featuring a long-lasting battery, DateCodeGenie Mini prints easily readable labels instantly. Each device comes with a 7,500-label starter pack with 5,000 50-millimeter (mm) x 25 mm labels and 2,500 50 mm x  50 mm labels.

Additionally, running on Android with an intuitive 6.7” touchscreen, the DateCodeGenie Mini is easy to use and is offered with training and 24/7 support.

Backed by NCCO’s global infrastructure, the DateCodeGenie Mini also comes with a 2-year warranty (extendable to 3 years on ordering) and ongoing software updates.
