Pledge, Resources for National Food Safety Month From Partnership for Food Safety Education

September is National Food Safety Education Month (NFSEM) in the U.S. In recognition of NFSEM, the Partnership for Food Safety Education (PFSE) is holding a Collective Day of Action on September 18, bringing awareness to safe food practices that help to reduce the risk of food poisoning.
Food and public health stakeholders are encouraged to sign the Collective Day of Action Participation Pledge to join collective efforts in sharing food safety information.
PFSE’s website offers resources for participating in NFSEM including a toolkit with science-based messages and graphics to reinforce positive food safety behaviors.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is also participating in NFSEM with a social media toolkit to help spread the word about food safety The agency also offers education resources for educators to develop and evaluate food safety programs and activities, and to help consumers learn how to reduce their chances of getting sick.
