The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has updated its import alerts due to the presence of Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella in seafood.
Import alerts inform FDA field staff and the public of which products are subject to Detention Without Physical Examination (DWPE) by the agency. DWPE allows FDA to detain imported goods without physical examination at time of entry. You can find the full list of import alerts here.
Update, April 6, 2022: FDA continues to update its import alerts. The latest update tightens enforcement against Salmonella, L. monocytogenes, and pesticides.
