By Casey Laughman

April 24, 2018

Harrison, Ohio-based J.T.M Provisions Co. is recalling more than 14,000 pounds of barbequed beef products that may be contaminated with rubber.

The pulled barbequed beef products were produced on Sept. 23, 2017. They bear the establishment number "EST. 1917" inside the USDA mark of inspection. The items were shipped to retail locations in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.

The following products are subject to the recall:

14-oz. sealed plastic tray covered with a paper sleeve labeled "Bar-B-Q Sauce With Pulled Beef" with Julian pack date 17266 printed on the label.

The problem was discovered when the company received two consumer complaints regarding contamination. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.

Consumers who have purchased the product should throw it away or return it to the place of purchase. Consumers with questions about the recall can contact Joe Maas, Vice President of J.T.M. Provisions Company, at 800-626-2308.
