Food Safety Doctor Launches Self-Paced International HACCP Alliance Certificate Training for Juice Producers

The Food Safety Doctor LLC has launched its first asynchronous, self-paced International HACCP Alliance (IHA) certificate training course for the juice industry, expanding its training offerings after eight years of delivering live, instructor-led Food Safety and Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) and IHA certificate courses.
The new online course is designed to provide greater scheduling flexibility while maintaining the comprehensive content required for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certification. It is the first in a planned series of self-paced food safety professional training programs intended to allow participants to complete coursework on their own schedules.
The Self-Paced IHA HACCP Training for Juice is a 14-module online course developed specifically for producers of 100 percent juice products. The curriculum begins with an overview of the history of U.S. food regulations leading to implementation of the Juice HACCP regulation under 21 CFR Part 120 and includes instruction on Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) requirements under 21 CFR Part 117, Subpart B. The course then provides detailed instruction on the seven principles of HACCP as they apply to juice production.
The fully downloadable course includes instructional materials, module quizzes, and a final examination. Participants have one year from enrollment to complete the training at their own pace. Individuals who achieve a score of at least 70 percent on the final examination earn an IHA certificate. Participants may retake the examination as many times as needed during the one-year enrollment period to achieve a passing score.
The course is intended for both individuals new to HACCP principles and professionals seeking formal International HACCP Alliance certification for juice production.
