Parts Town Bolsters Service to Foodservice Industry with Acquisition of 86 Repairs

Parts Town has acquired 86 Repairs, a technology company that provides repair and maintenance management software for foodservice operators.
According to Parts Town, the acquisition combines its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts distribution network with 86 Repairs' repair management platform to create a more connected system for managing equipment maintenance. The companies said the integrated offering is intended to help operators identify equipment issues earlier, improve visibility into service activity, and make more informed maintenance decisions.
86 Repairs' platform automates repair and maintenance workflows and provides data intended to help foodservice operators coordinate with service providers, monitor equipment performance, and reduce operational complexity and costs.
Parts Town said the acquisition will support continued investment in technology and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities aimed at improving repair workflows and reducing equipment downtime. The companies also said they will continue working with service providers to streamline communication and provide operational insights for mutual customers.
Parts Town and 86 Repairs have partnered in recent years, and the companies said combining Parts Town's distribution network and industry data with 86 Repairs' technology platform will accelerate product development and enhance service capabilities.
