Matrix Sciences has announced the acquisition of Neumann Risk Services, LLC (NRS), led by Melanie Neumann, J.D., M.S. This is another important step in the company’s execution of its growth strategy. In building NRS, Melanie Neumann has combined a consulting business based on deep technical, regulatory and industry understanding in food safety, food science, food defense, recall and crisis management with a legal practice. The addition of NRS to the Matrix Sciences portfolio both widens and deepens our consulting capability. In addition to further growing the NRS consulting business, Melanie will be developing an expanded set of services that are targeted at helping companies reap the benefits of their investments in food safety risk management. Melanie will also be taking on the role of executive vice president and general counsel for Matrix and she will be maintaining a separate but allied legal practice called Neumann Legal Services where legal work will be performed.
