Ottogi America, Inc. Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Egg in Product
November 26, 2018

Ottogi America, Inc. of Gardena, California announced today it is recalling 1lb 5.16ounce of Jin Ramen Mild 5pk. (Best Before Aug. 19th 2019) and Jin Ramen Spicy 5pk. (Best Before Aug. 20th 2019) due to undeclared egg as an ingredient on the packages. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

Only Jin Ramen Mild 5pk. printed “BEST BEFORE AUG.19.2019” and Jin Ramen Spicy 5pk. printed “BEST BEFORE AUG.20.2019” have been recalled, which were delivered to retail stores nationwide. The “BEST BEFORE” date can be found on the front of the package. No other products of any other size or similarity were affected.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem. Distribution and selling these products have been suspended until FDA and the company are certain that the problem has been corrected. Canadian Food Inspection Agency(CFIA) announced that the products may contain egg which is not declared on the label.

Consumers who have purchased 1lb 5.16ounce of Jin Ramen Mild 5pk (Best Before Aug. 19th 2019) or Jin Ramen Spicy 5pk.
