Loma Introduces Remote Test System for Metal Detectors
Loma Systems has introduced a new Remote Test System (RTS) designed to simplify routine performance testing of high-speed Vertical Fall and Waferthin metal detection systems used in food production.
The RTS enables operators to initiate a controlled metal detector test cycle remotely, eliminating the need to manually introduce test samples into equipment that may be elevated or difficult to access. According to Loma, a complete three-metal test can typically be performed in less than 30 seconds.
The system was developed to reduce the manual intervention and time required for routine performance testing while improving operator safety, consistency, and repeatability.
By enabling remote testing, the RTS may be particularly useful for Vertical Fall and Waferthin metal detection applications where equipment placement makes manual testing more difficult. The system is intended to provide manufacturers with a more controlled approach to carrying out routine metal detector performance checks.
