Trustwell has added Canadian Front-of-Pack (FOP) labeling capabilities to its Genesis Foods software, helping food manufacturers, retailers, and regulatory professionals to ensure compliance with Canada’s FOP nutrition labeling regulations.

With Canada’s mandatory FOP labeling law taking effect, food products that exceed specific thresholds for sodium, sugars, or saturated fat must now display a “high in” symbol on the front of their packaging. The updated Genesis Foods solution streamlines compliance by:

• Automatically identifying products requiring FOP warnings based on regulatory thresholds
• Generating compliant labels in accordance with Health Canada’s regulations
• Offering flexible labeling formats whereby users can specify FOP orientation, size, and language preferences (i.e., English/French, French/English, English, or French).
