Tech company GoTab allows bar patrons to scan a posted QR code (no app required) which allows them to view an establishment’s menu, order, and pay without having the help of a server—an attractive feature amid the current coronavirus pandemic.

Not only does GoTab’s contact-free technology allow patrons to order without having to be face-to-face with a server, it also doesn’t require the exchange of credit cards or cash, both of which could allow the virus to continue to spread.

After ordering and paying, a patron can then grab their packaged bags of food to go and be on their way. Some foodservice establishments have been able to incorporate this technology to continue selling prepared meals, grocery items, and elusive cleaning products.

Most recently, GoTab rolled out a different platform, this one allowing food businesses to deliver with their own drivers vs. popular third-party food delivery services.
