NEHA to Honor Sanitarian Bob Powitz with 2017 Walter S. Mangold Award

Forensic sanitarian Bob Powitz, Ph.D., M.P.H., R.S., C.F.S.P. will be honored with the 2017 Walter S. Mangold Award. This is the highest award conferred upon a Sanitarian by the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA).    

The award will be presented to Powitz during the NEHA Annual Education Conference on Wednesday, July 12 in Grand Rapids, MI.   

As his long and storied career illustrates, Bob’s work has changed the classic meme of our industry and our profession through his commitment to continuing education, stimulating others to be knowledgeable and proficient in the Sanitarian craft, ensuring professionalism and creating innovations in environmental health practice.

Bob Powitz is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Food Safety Magazine.
