NASDA Names New Senior Director of Public Policy

The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) has named Brianna Robinson-Verloop, M.S. as Senior Director of Public Policy. She will assume the position in September.
In her new role, Ms. Robinson-Verloop will advance NASDA members’ policy priorities, direct advocacy efforts, and lead the association’s policy team. She brings more than 15 years of experience in agricultural policy across Congress, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and international forums, including experience in food safety, trade, and regulatory policy.
Ms. Robinson-Verloop most recently served as director of animal and animal products at USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. She previously held roles with USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA-FSIS) and served as a Brookings Institution Legislative Fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives. She also previously represented the U.S. in international negotiations and forums focused on food safety and trade policies.
Ms. Robinson-Verloop said her experience in federal food safety, trade, and regulatory policy has informed her approach to developing practical policy solutions for agriculture.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in animal science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and a master’s degree in agriculture from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
