Food safety culture is more than a soft concept; it is a critical driver of food safety performance. This webinar explores GFSI's 2026 Position Paper, "A Culture of Food Safety," and its updated, five-dimension framework connecting organizational foundations such as values, leadership, people, accountability, and communication with the daily practices that make food safety visible. Participants will consider how risk awareness, consistency, work environment, adaptability, and continuous improvement influence outcomes, and how these ideas can support GFSI-recognized certification programs.

This session should prepare attendees to:

Connect company values, leadership messages, and resources to what the organization actually does to promote food safety
Evaluate their company culture across GFSI-approved scheme frameworks
Turn culture into continuous improvement within their food safety management system

Robert Thrash, President and Process Coach, Process Management Consulting. Robert (Bob) Thrash has been a BRCGS Approved Training Partner (ATP) since 2009 and specializes in working with companies new to the BRCGS Standard for Food Safety. Bob has provided BRCGS training to management teams and internal auditors throughout North American. He worked 14 years with KFC USA as a trainer and with the supplier QA team. He founded Process Management Consulting 18 years ago to provide food safety and supplier QA services including training, consulting, and auditing.
