A new nonprofit organization called the Adult Beverage Alliance (ABA) has been formed in Massachusetts with the goal of advocating for responsible state-level regulation of drinks containing hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

ABA aims to work cohesively with state legislature and other stakeholders to enact effective rules that will clarify uncertainties in existing laws and set structured regulations to guide industry towards responsible growth while ensuring consumer protection. Through constructive dialogue and active collaboration, the ABA aims to create a regulatory framework that will ensure consumer safety, promote industry growth and eliminate any ambiguities present in the existing laws.

The alliance includes industry leading distributors: Atlantic Beverage Distributors and Craft Collective and manufacturers BLNCD, Cann, Cantrip, Cheech & Chong, Foundry Nation, Good Feels, Mary Jones, Nantucket LongBird, North, Wynk, among others. ABA is actively inviting all interested parties in the hemp beverage industry to join its coalition.
