Dynamic Systems Inc. has announced an updated deconstruction process for meat processors through the Specialized Inventory Management with Barcode Accuracy (SIMBA) system, which solves the problem of end-to-end traceability and finished goods labeling.

The updated deconstruction process provides easy traceability of individual primal cuts by products and scrap, tracking back to the original carcass. SIMBA can be integrated to most scales for proper weight measurement and tracks carcasses and finished goods boxes to multiple locations.

Additionally, SIMBA allows production line workers to change the content of product labels on a computer or touch screen, capturing product weight information and printing a label with a barcode identifier for a case or carton. The information is stored in the SIMBA Office system and is given a clean input and output. SIMBA is then able to calculate yields per line, per day, and so on.

SIMBA’s inventory system also provides current inventory of processed cartons. Cartons can be accumulated onto a pallet and tracked by a single pallet identifier. The integrated system gives the user complete reporting of a product from receiving to shipping. Cartons or pallets can be stored and tracked by location.

Key results from implementing SIMBA software include increased production speed; the ability to get real-time, accurate production reports and yields; the fulfillment of traceability requirements; reporting accurate inventory in real time; and printing professional carton and pallet labels in unlimited formats.
