Serpa Introduces DP260 Drop Packer for Food Applications

Serpa has launched the DP260, a new drop packer designed to support automated case packing for food products.
The DP260 is part of Serpa’s DP Series and is engineered to handle a wide range of product types and packaging formats, including sauces, condiments, dressings, liquid detergents, disinfectants, and household chemicals. The system supports both single and tandem drop configurations, and is capable of packing up to 60 cases per minute.
Key features of the DP260 include:
- Servo-driven case elevator: Enables gentle product placement into cases, reducing the risk of product damage during packing
- Tool-less changeovers: A lightweight product grid mounted on a slide-out shelf allows for complete changeovers in minutes without the need for tools, supporting repeatable adjustments by a single operator and minimizing production downtime
- Durability and maintenance efficiency: Constructed with a simplified, robust design intended to operate for over 20 years, reduced mechanical complexity contributes to lower short- and long-term maintenance requirements
- Operator access and uptime: The DP260 offers full access to all machine components, facilitating routine maintenance and case clear-outs, and supporting up to 98 percent machine uptime.
The DP260 can be integrated with other ProMach systems, including upstream filling and downstream palletizing equipment. The DP Series also includes a pick-and-place robotic model, commonly used in wine and spirits applications.
