John G. Surak––a member of Food Safety Magazine’s Editorial Advisory Board––has been presented with a Freund-Marquardt Medal. This honor was bestowed based on Surak’s contributions in development, implementation and instruction in the area of food safety and quality management principles, thus making the food safety management system standards understandable to governmental organizations and the commercial food processing industry, and allowing their implementation at the national and international levels.
