Hygiena ZymoSnap ALP for Dairy Pasteurization Verification now AOAC-Certified
Hygiena has recently announced that its ZymoSnap test device for the measurement of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) enzymes in milk and milk-based products is now AOAC-certified. ZymoSnap provides a simple and effective solution that offers clear, definitive results about dairy quality, and verifies proper pasteurization within minutes. Additionally, ZymoSnap ALP has been validated for various types of milks, creams, and other dairy products.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), during 1993–2012, there were 127 outbreaks linked to raw milk or raw milk products, resulting in 1,909 illnesses and 144 hospitalizations. Therefore, Hygiena developed ZymoSnap, enabling dairy producers to accurately identify inadequate pasteurization to ensure food safety.
