The U.S. Food & Drug Administration's (FDA's) CORE Response Teams recently released a table showing outbreak investigations that they are managing. Some of the investigations only have a small amount of information at this time, whereas others are nearly complete.
The FDA will issue advisories to the public for investigations that have resulted in steps that consumers can take to protect themselves, such as discarding or avoiding certain foods, according to the outbreak page.
CORE's outbreak table page states that investigations that do not result in specific steps for consumers may or may not identify a source or show any contributing factors.
However, if sources or contributing factors are identified that can help consumers, FDA will be providing a summary of their findings.
