USDA Awards $4.6 Million to University of Maryland for Continuation of Food Safety Study
The University of Maryland's Center for Food Safety and Security Systems has received a $4.6 million U.S. Department of Agriculture grant for a project crafting scientifically based food safety metrics for leafy greens and tomatoes. Tomatoes and leafy greens are produce crops that are considered to have a high food safety risk.
