COVID-19 / Coronavirus Message

Last Updated:

We have been monitoring the evolving situation around COVID-19/Coronavirus, which, as you know, is changing rapidly. The health and safety of our attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, vendors and staff at the Food Safety Summit is our top priority.

Due to the magnitude of the unanticipated public health and safety issues, in addition to increased travel restrictions, we have determined that postponement at this time is the best, most productive approach for all.

The 22nd Annual Food Safety Summit will now be taking place October 19-22, 2020 and remains at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.

We are working very closely with the Village of Rosemont and local, state and federal public health authorities to maintain constant communication on this front.

We look forward to seeing all of the food safety community this October in Rosemont, IL.

Notice to Registrants for Original May Dates

Please look for important follow up communications from FoodSafetyStrategies.com, the Food Safety Summit, our parent company, BNP Media and related vendors, that will include logistical details resulting from the postponement.

If you were scheduled to attend in May, these are your immediate next steps:

  1. Registration fees. Any payment received will be rolled over as a credit for the new dates: October 19-22, 2020
  2. Cancel your hotel room. If you made a hotel reservation using our housing vendor OnPeak, via the Food Safety Summit website, your hotel reservation will automatically be cancelled and no further action is required from you at this time. If you booked on your own with one the hotels in our block or another in the area, you must call and cancel your reservation directly with the hotel. We are arranging new room blocks and will email and post that information as it becomes available.
  3. Call your airline. Most airlines are waiving change fees and allowing you to either rebook your ticket for a future flight or providing a voucher for the full amount of the ticket for a future booking.
