Dr. Nate Anderson is the Director of the Division of Food Processing Science and Technology, at the U.S. FDA in the Human Foods Program. He leads a multidisciplinary research team that evaluates processing technologies and preventive controls for microbiological and chemical hazards in foods and administers proficiency testing of laboratories. Dr. Anderson conducts research in the areas of thermal and non-thermal methods of pasteurization and sterilization of foods with primary focus on low-moisture food safety and serves as a Subject Matter Expert of process validation of pasteurization and sterilization processes. Nate is the co-lead for development of the FDA Food Safety Data Analytics Sharing Hub (DASHboard).
