Dr. Wood is a Senior Food Safety Manager with Amazon, where he leads food safety operations with a focus on compliance and risk mitigation across the organization.

Prior to joining Amazon, Dr. Wood served as a Food Safety Leader with The Kroger Company, where he supported the Fresh Kitchen Program, produce safety, and the In-Store Fresh-Cut Produce Program. He has also held positions as Market Microbiologist with Nestlé USA, New Product Development Manager with Del Monte Fresh Produce, and Research Manager with Analytical Food Laboratories.

Dr. Wood received his B.S. in Microbiology and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Food Microbiology, all from the University of Florida.
