Katherine (Kate) Marshall is a senior epidemiologist in NCEZID’s Division of Foodborne, Waterborne, and Environmental Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she has spent the past 16 years conducting surveillance for bacterial enteric pathogens, investigating multistate outbreaks of Salmonella, STEC and Listeria monocytogenes infections, and applying this experience to focus on prevention of foodborne illness. Kate received her Master in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and her Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
