John (Chuck) Hassenplug

John (Chuck) Hassenplug is currently a Senior Policy Analyst in FDA’s Human Food Program, Office of Surveillance Strategy & Risk Prioritization. He leads modeling and analysis work to support risk-informed resource allocation of FDA’s food safety program. Since joining FDA in 2007, he has held positions evaluating FDA’s regulatory programs and as a Division Director overseeing the Agency’s annual field work plan. Prior to joining FDA, Chuck served as an analyst with the World Food Programme in Rome. He has a BSc. in Bioengineering and a MSc. in International Healthcare Management, Economics, and Policy.
