Jesse Newman is a reporter covering food from The Wall Street Journal's Chicago bureau. She writes about food prices, food policy, and all the ways the business of food affects our lives. Previously she covered agriculture, writing stories about rural America, the farm economy, agricultural policy and the global food supply chain. Before joining the Journal, Jesse worked as a freelance photographer and reporter for publications such as the New York Times, the Atlantic, Time and Newsweek.
