Senior Advisor for Food Safety to Deloitte and Touche
Faye J. Westhoff, M.S., has a solid foundation in food safety, microbiology and policy, gained during her career in the Food and Drug Administration, as well as the food processing industry and state regulatory agencies. Currently serving as a senior advisor with Deloitte Consulting, LLP, she is focused on bringing together her expertise and the depth and breadth of capabilities within Deloitte to serve the Food Safety community. Previously, her career has been highlighted by 10-year tenure at the Food and Drug Administration, Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, where she was the Director of the Agency’s Office of Food Defense, Communication and Emergency Response. In that capacity, she was engaged in the policy making and implementation of the Agency’s efforts related to emergency response and preparedness, risk assessment, traceability, and recalls, in coordination with the state and local regulators and the affected industry.
