Dr. Akhila Vasan is Uber's Global Food Safety Lead, where she focuses on shaping policy, strengthening processes, and advancing trust and safety. She works at the intersection of food safety and technology, helping ensure that products, programs, and features are developed with a safety-first mindset. Prior to joining Uber, Akhila led scientific engagement at the Institute for Food Safety and Health and global food safety capacity-building initiatives at the Consumer Brands Association (then, GMA).
